First-graders visited NARTIS Plant
On the eve of the new school year, a visiting tour was held at NARTIS Plant (part of NEK Industrial Group) for children who started first grade this year. The First-Grade Day Campaign, timed to coincide with the Day of Knowledge, allowed the children not only to celebrate the beginning of an important stage in their lives, but also to look into the world of high technology for which the plant is famous.
23 first-graders took part in the event. A festive program was held for the kids, and the main event was a tour of workshops.
The students saw how smart electricity meters are being created – products that help millions of consumers across the country save resources and effectively manage energy consumption. And how their parents work at one of the leading plants in Vologda Region.
The children followed the entire assembly process with their own eyes from the installation of microchips and electronic components on printed circuit boards to the final assembly, inspection and preparation of meters for shipment to customers. A special impression was made by the new robotic printed board assembly line, which demonstrates a high level of automation and a modern approach to production.

NARTIS' social policy is traditionally aimed at supporting the families of employees. The company takes care of the younger generation: every year it gives sweet New Year gifts to children, compensates for the costs of summer holidays in health camps and provides students with the opportunity to practice.
At the end of the holiday, each child received a useful school kit: stationery, notebooks, pencil cases and branded bookmarks for textbooks – a symbol of memory of the first acquaintance with the world of science and technology.
